“Thank you for making writing essays much less terrifying!”

Louise (Y10 Student)

“I didn’t like English very much in Y6 but I’ve improved so much that I like it now. I feel I’ve made a lot of progress in my writing so thank you.”

Abigail (Y7 Student)

“Gayle helped me so much when taking my English GCSE retake. I felt little pressure when I worked with her, the atmosphere of the tutoring didn’t feel like a boring English lesson it felt really productive. She was so patient with me and when I made a mistake, she reassured me that it wasn’t a bad thing, she told / showed me how to correct and improve on my mistakes. I wouldn’t have got through my English without her help and expertise.”

Sebastian (Y11 Re-sit Student)

“Gayle provided the most fantastic support and advice when our son’s GCSE results were poorer than anticipated.  As parents we needed swift guidance on the options available, how to find appropriate courses and generally about the UK education system.  We had no idea what to do for the best, but with Gayle’s insight we were able to move forward and feel far more positive.

With the help of Mindful Learning we found an appropriate Level 2 course, which suited our son’s skills and aspirations. In tandem with this, he received one-to-one English tutoring from Mindful Learning in preparation for re-sitting the GCSE in November. The type of input that he received through this this type of tutoring was ideal, in that he gained confidence in expressing himself and presenting his ideas in an organised way. He also learned the right techniques for approaching exam questions, how to read the instructions properly and where/how he could gain more marks within the papers. After only a few two-hour tutoring sessions, he sat the English exam and passed. We wholeheartedly recommend Mindful Learning.

He was especially pleased with his English grade as it was the one that was worrying him the most and we have you to thank for that … he couldn’t have done it without you.”
